Standing Tall, Feeling Small

This is a short comic/graphic novel publication inspired by a statue in the village I grew up in. The story follows the statue’s perspective and is narrated by his inner dialogue as he goes ignored and unnoticed by passers-by despite his towering size- making him feel incredibly small in contrast- until after months of feeling isolated, he is finally acknowledged by someone. My intention was to create a linear narrative with the message of paying attention to your surroundings and experiencing the world around you rather than passing it by.
